Dinas Mawddwy has plenty of facilities for the visitor including a shop, hotels and a pub as well as a well known woollen mill. Good beaches around Cardigan Bay and the coastal resort of Barmouth are just a half hour's drive away. A superb base for both coast and mountains all year round. The Property: Dafarn Newydd A cosy, semi detached cottage, originally part of a 17th century coaching inn, nestling between wooded hills and mountains on the edge of the village of Dinas Mawddwy, in the Dovey Valley of Snowdonia. Offering simple, comfortable accommodation, the cottage features a wealth of exposed beams and an impressive inglenook fireplace with woodburner, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. There is much for climbers, walkers, bikers and birdwatchers alike. Nearby Dolgellau offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants, or discover the sandy beaches, castles, golf courses and railways of the region. A lovely location to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of Wales. Accommodation One twin bedroom. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen area, dining area and living area with impressive inglenook fireplace with woodburner. Amenities Heating from storage heater on the ground floor with additional heating from the wood-burning stove in the living area.
